We welcome you to visit the Beaumont Emergency Center at any time, where we strive to provide you with timely, excellent care that minimizes your wait time to see the physician. We emphasize teamwork amongst our staff to provide you with outstanding care throughout the entire process.
Amenities
Location
Our facility is located at the corner of College St. and I-10, which allows easy on-off access to our building along with ample parking next to our front door.
Reception area
As soon as you enter our facility, you will be greeted by our front-desk personnel. You will find comfortable furniture, cable television and a well-stocked complimentary snack area.
Exam rooms
You will be quickly escorted to a private exam room. Our rooms are well lit, comfortable and clean, with space for family members as well as a flat-screen TV.
Emergency Personnel
You will promptly be greeted and evaluated by the nurse. Your time to see the physician will be minutes. Your treatment will begin immediately and may include our in-house lab and radiology services.
Pediatrics
We are fully equipped to treat your child’s health problems. To make them feel more welcome, we have a private pediatric exam room with age-appropriate decorations and stuffed animals to help your son or daughter feel more comfortable when ill or injured. Our experienced staff is trained to treat any childhood injury or illness in a friendly and calming environment.
Laboratory
We are able to provide bedside testing for the major emergency labs, including CBC, CMP, glucose, urinalysis, cardiac enzymes and D-dimer, with results available in minutes. If needed, we will send out labs that require cultures or more extensive evaluation.
Radiology
We can perform in-house digital X-rays and CT scans on site, with results in minutes. Ultrasound can also be performed at your bedside if clinically indicated.
Discharge Process
You will be reevaluated multiple times by both the nurse and physician. Upon improvement and decision for discharge, you will be given written instructions, any necessary prescriptions, copies of your labs and a CD with any imaging performed.
Admission/Transfer Process
Should you need continued in-hospital treatment, we have a transfer protocol arranged with area hospitals, including an communication link between physicians to expedite your care. We have an ambulance available to transport you to the hospital of your choice, and in most cases, to an inpatient bed.
